1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels. These help us operate the Services, remember preferences, and understand usage.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for basic functionality and security.
- Analytics: analytics and session replay are not enabled by this release. If analytics is enabled later, the saved regional choice controls whether it may start.
3. Cookies and identifiers we set
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-quoteit_consent | Stores your accepted or declined choice. The same value is also kept in local storage so the site can remember it. | Cookie: 1 year. Local storage: until changed or browser storage is cleared. | Strictly necessary |
| __Host-quoteit_cid | Anonymous identifier used to associate ordered consent receipts. The same value is kept in local storage. | Cookie: 1 year. Local storage: until reset or browser storage is cleared. | Strictly necessary |
| quoteit_pending_consent_receipt | Keeps the exact pending choice for safe retry until the server acknowledges that receipt. It does not enable analytics. | Until acknowledged, replaced by a newer choice, or browser storage is cleared. | Strictly necessary |
| quoteit_consent_receipt_sequence | Orders choices so delayed requests cannot silently overwrite a newer choice. | Until the consent identifier is reset or browser storage is cleared. | Strictly necessary |
Development or non-secure environments use fallback cookie names without the__Host- prefix. A server receipt contains the anonymous identifier, choice, basis, coarse region, sequence, timestamp, and limited request metadata. Cookie receipts and unnecessary user-agent values are retained for no more than 180 days. This receipt logging does not itself enable analytics or session replay.
4. Your choices
You can accept or decline analytics cookies using the banner. You can also change your choice anytime by using the -Cookie Settings- link in the footer.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the site uses the strict mode and requires an affirmative choice before any future non-essential analytics can start. In other regions, the site records its current default choice and provides Cookie Settings to change it.
5. Updates
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. The Effective Date above shows when it was last updated.
